Acid Etched or frosted glass is produced by acid etching one side or two sides of float glass by hydrofluoric acid and give its surface an exquisite frosted look and satin like finish that disperses light and seems to glow from within. which is impervious to fingerprints, marks, dirt or oil, making it the perfect choice for high traffic locations.

Acid etched glass is available in a variety of patterns, textures, and translucency, providing a striking and distinctive blend of elegance, light, esthetics and privacy in one extraordinary glass solution with a high level of light transmittance.  Entire sheets of glass can be acid-etched or small sections can be treated to add specific designs.

Once installed, acid etched glass does not require any special care.  Its extra-smooth finish is extremely resistant to finger prints and remarkably easy to maintain.  And as time passes, you can be sure that acid etched glass will retain its elegance. 

Both acid-etched and sandblasted glass use abrasives to create a frosted glass look. Acid treatment is used to created acid-etched glass. While sandblasting is done with a high-speed machine that bombards the glass panel with sand, walnut husks or other materials.
